Before us is another winter situation. It will be relatively quiet and friendly until noon on Monday. The clouds will gradually increase from west to east, and temperatures will reach their maximum for the day – between 10 and 15 degrees.

In the afternoon, with the passage of a cold front, rapid cooling will begin. The wind will become cold from the northwest and will have strong gusts in the Danube plain and in the mountains. It will rain, and the precipitation will cover Western and Central Bulgaria. As temperatures drop in the evening, the rain will turn to snow.

It will remain cloudy and windy on Tuesday night. Daily temperatures will be between 3 and 8 degrees. Rainfall in the west will stop, but in the central and eastern regions it will rain and snow. Snow cover will also form. Due to the strong wind there are prerequisites for winds on the roads.

On Wednesday it will remain windy, with dynamic clouds and isolated light rain and snow. Rapid warming will begin and on Thursday and Friday the daily temperatures will be up to 10-15 degrees. The weekend will be cloudy, cool, with light snowfall in the mountains of Western Bulgaria.

In the foreseeable future, winter will continue to alternate between warm and cooler periods. The warmer ones will be around February 10-11 and 17-18, and the cooling ones with potential for rain and snow precipitation – on February 12-13 and 21-22.
