The fire broke out near the Burj Khalifa
A fire broke out in a 35-story building in Dubai near the iconic Burj Khalifa skyscraper, the Associated Press reported. So far, it is not clear if there are any injured people. By the time the AP team arrived at the scene, firefighters were able to put it out. The cause of the fire has not yet been announced.
In recent years, a series of high-rise fires in Dubai have raised questions about the safety of the materials used in their construction. In 2015, on New Year’s Eve, a fire broke out in Address Downtown – one of the most luxurious hotel and residential complexes in Dubai, which is also located in a skyscraper next to the Burj Khalifa.
