    Nine of the residents of the home for the elderly in the village of Royak, Dulgopol municipality, died in a fire that broke out this evening. This was announced to the BNR by Georgi Georgiev, mayor of Dulgopol. “The home for the elderly is a converted school with a wooden roof. Upon arrival, our teams found a complicated situation. The fire affected about 150 sq.m. and is currently shut down. Unfortunately, there was a lot of smoke, the local authorities and the ambulance provided us with full assistance,” said Commissioner Totev. An inspection is to be carried out and then the causes of the fire will be clarified.
