A gas tanker caught fire near Dimitrovgrad

A gas tank caught fire while driving in the Dimitrovgrad village of Gorski Izvor. As a result, between 50 and 60 people living in the area were evacuated, Dimitrovgrad fire chief Ivan Patchov told BTA. The call was made at 11:06 a.m. today. The driver noticed flames coming from the back of the truck and stopped. The fire also spread to the rear tires of the truck. The burning was fiery. We have four firefighting teams at the scene, said Patchov. Firefighters douse the LPG tank with water to lower its temperature. The probable cause of the accident is a leak. There is no danger to those living in the area.
