The epicenter is 14 kilometers from the city of Duzje. The depth is 7 kilometers.
The earthquake was felt in Ankara, Istanbul and Bulgaria.
There are no reports of casualties or damage.
At around 6 am, another earthquake struck the same area with a magnitude of 4.5 on the Richter scale.
