The body of a 72-year-old man was found in a fire in the village of Trastika, the Targovishte Regional Department of the Interior announced.
On December 25, 2021, at around 8.00 am, a signal was received in the Popovo Regional Hospital for a fire in a house in the village, inhabited by a 72-year-old man.
During the inspection in the room of the house the body of the owner was found, on which no visible traces of violence were found. He was taken to the Targovishte Hospital for an autopsy.
The furniture in the room was destroyed as a result of the fire. The fire was extinguished by two teams of firefighters – employees of RSPBZN – Popovo and RSPBZN – Targovishte, with two fire trucks.
Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the case.
