Chain accident in the capital due to the ice. Five cars collided last night on Tsarigradsko Shosse in the direction of Plovdiv. The incident happened shortly before 19.00. Our viewers sent us footage and wrote that the chain accident was most likely due to the slippery pavement and the lack of sanding.

The Sofia Municipality announced that they had treated the pavement with salt in time, but the problem was with the drivers who did not keep the required distance.
