The version of arson is being investigated
At least 27 people were killed in a large fire in an 8-storey building in a busy shopping area of the Japanese city of Osaka. The fire broke out on the fourth floor of the building, which houses a psychiatric clinic.
According to initial information, an elderly man brought a bag with tubes of flammable liquid, which ignited. Witnesses say they saw a woman crying for help at one of the windows. Firefighters arrived on the scene and extinguished the flames in 30 minutes.
The building is located in a commercial area of Osaka. It also houses a beauty salon, a clothing store and an English language school.
