Four victims and at least 100 injured after a powerful earthquake in Japan.
Four people were killed and at least 100 were injured in a quake that shook Japan yesterday. The quake struck at sea near Fukushima Prefecture in northern Japan.
The Japan Meteorological Service initially said it had a magnitude of 7.3, but later adjusted its strength to 7.4.
Due to the natural disaster, there was a problem in the cooling system of the spent nuclear fuel pool at the shut down Japanese Fukushima-2 nuclear power plant. It was temporary and the experts managed to fix it. Due to the strong earthquake, the water level in the cistern, from where water is supplied to the pool, decreased.
