Earthquake in Blagoevgrad region.

The quake was at a depth of 4 kilometers
A slight earthquake was registered today at 00:47 Bulgarian time on the territory of one of the most seismic areas of the country – Blagoevgrad. The quake occurred 6km southeast of Simitli.

According to the National Seismological Center of NIGGG, the earthquake has a magnitude of 2.9 and a depth of 4.2 km.

The earthquake shook Blagoevgrad.

An earthquake was registered on the territory of Blagoevgrad last night. The quake had a magnitude of 3.5 on the Richter scale.

The quake was reported at 2:31 a.m. Monday night.

The epicenter was 9 km southwest of Blagoevgrad and 85 km from the capital. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 13 km.

So far, there is no evidence that the quake was felt by locals. No damage was reported.

Six earthquakes registered in Bulgaria in last 24 hours.

They were in Smolyan region
Six earthquakes have been registered in Bulgaria’s Smolyan region in the last 24 hours.

According to data from the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography (NIGGG) of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, the strongest earthquake had a magnitude of 2.9 on the Richter scale and was recorded at 1.20 a.m. on May 13. Its epicenter was 9.1 km to the northeast of the town of Dospat and 137 km from Sofia.

There was one more 2.1-magnitude earthquake in Dobrich that was recorded at 7:18 a.m. on Thursday morning.

There was also a slight tremor in the region of Dospat at 7:30 a.m. – 2,7 on the Richter scale.

An earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale was registered on Friday in the Romanian seismic zone of Vrancea, BTA reports.

The quake was registered at 6:06 a.m. 71 km east of Brasov and 138 km north of Bucharest.

During this month, 15 earthquakes with a magnitude of 2 to 3.6 were registered in the region, and the strongest for the year was on May 26 with a magnitude of 4.7.

The Vrancea region is seismically active and is known mainly for the devastating earthquake of 1977, which caused great destruction and many casualties in both Romania and Bulgaria.

Earthquake between Dragoman and Slivnica.

The tremor was registered at 8:35 am.
A weak earthquake with a magnitude of 2.2 was registered at 8:35 a.m. today between the cities of Dragoman and Slivnitsa, the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography at the BAS reported.

According to data from the National Seismological Center at NIGGG, despite the low magnitude, it is possible that the quake was felt in the area of the epicenter.

Earthquake in Bulgaria.

An earthquake measuring 3.3 on the Richter scale was registered last night in the area of Madjarovo, Haskovo region.

According to data from the National Seismological Center at NIGGG-BAN, the earthquake occurred at 21:51 Bulgarian time. Its epicenter was 230 km from the city of Sofia.

BAS reports that the earthquake was felt weakly in the area of the cities of Madjarovo, Kardjali and Haskovo.
