Severe chain accident on the Struma Motorway in Bulgaria

According to initial information, about 10 cars collided
A chain accident with about 10 cars happened on the Struma Motorway on Wednesday morning. The cars collided at the turnoff for Petrich in the direction of Sofia. Traffic in the area is blocked.

Three women were taken to hospital. There is no official information about the victims so far. The cause of the accident, in all probability, is the thick fog, which allows visibility of no more than 4-5 meters.

The bypass route is through the road junction “Melnik”, Petrich – on road III-109 Novo Delchevo – road junction “Novo Delchevo”, Damyanitsa – Motorway “Struma”.
