An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale shook western Afghanistan today, the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center reported, quoted by TASS.
At least 26 people have died, including five women and four children, AFP reported. The victims died when the roofs of their houses collapsed in the county of Cadiz in the western province of Badgis, said Governor Mohamed Saleh Purdel.
