Since the beginning of this year, 16 earthquakes with magnitudes between 2 and 4 on the Richter scale have been registered in Romania.
Three earthquakes of magnitude 3 and 3.5 on the Richter scale were registered in Romania last night in the Vrancea and Buzau counties, according to the National Institute of Geophysical Research.
The quakes were four hours apart. The first with a force of 3 on the Richter scale was registered at 1.27 am in Vrancea and was at a depth of 80 km. The second quake occurred at 2.31 am in Buzau, with a depth of 139 km and a magnitude of 3.5. The third quake was registered at 5.27 am again in Vrancea, with a magnitude of 3 and a depth of 90 km.
