Belene Municipality held a final press conference under the project “Joint risk management for effective responses of local authorities in emergency situations”, e-MS code: ROBG-458

      On 15 February 2021, the Municipality of Belene held a final press conference on the project "Joint risk management for effective responses of local authorities in emergency situations", e-MS code: ROBG-458, acronym: JRMFERLAES, co-financed by the European Union through the European Fund for regional development within the INTERREG V Romania-Bulgaria program. Heads of institutions, representatives of kindergartens and schools, employees from other municipalities, stakeholders, institutions providing social services, local governments and citizens were present. 
      The leading partner in the project was the Municipality of Belene, and the partner was the Municipality of Calarasi-Romania.

    The following equipment was purchased under the project: drone, five chainsaws, five brushcutters, five hand-held snow blowers, aerial platform, excavator - front loader, three-phase diesel generator - mobile and two stationary, specialized vehicle for garbage collection and garbage collection (garbage collection machine), tractor with trailer, rotary snow blower and sandbox.
    The bushes and snowplows were handed over for use to the mayors in the settlements of Belene municipality personally by the mayor Mr. Milen Dulev. 
     Thanks to the purchased new equipment and machinery, the Municipality of Belene will improve its ability to respond to natural disasters and increase the capacity of local authorities to prevent and protect against crisis situations.
   Part of the implemented activities was the development of an online platform for providing information for crisis prevention and management. Through it, citizens can submit signals about disasters and crisis situations on the Internet address:  https://sos-robg.eu/

      The press conference was held in strict compliance with all anti-epidemic measures - in compliance with a physical distance of 1.5 m, mandatory wearing of face masks and disinfection by those present, for which disinfectants were provided.
