Truck tires were scattered on the roadway
Tire crashed this night on the Trakia highway, near the Vetren junction. The incident happened at 00:46. The driver, a 55-year-old man from Burgas, died on the spot, and his body was taken for an autopsy.
The tractor with a semi-trailer with Austrian registration collided with a concrete pillar, part of the construction of the junction. The tyre was carrying truck tires that had spilled onto the roadway.
This morning the traffic from Burgas to Sofia was stopped. Traffic in the direction of the seaside town was also hampered.
Until the removal of the product, as well as its road traffic, was redirected through the turnoff for Kameno and Bulgarovo. Traffic was restored at noon.
