Hundreds of South Koreans have been evacuated after a large fire in a densely populated neighborhood of Seoul.
More than 800 firefighters, police and public officials have been dispatched to battle the disaster
About 500 residents of a densely populated neighborhood in the South Korean capital of Seoul were evacuated because of a large fire that destroyed at least 60 houses, BTA reported.
The fire broke out around 6:30 in the morning in the neighborhood located in the southern part of the capital, where more than 600 families live.
More than 800 firefighters, police and community workers were dispatched to fight the blaze and evacuate residents of the neighborhood.
South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol called for damage reduction and the massive mobilization of all available firefighters and equipment, his spokesman said, quoted by Reuters.
