    An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.9 on the Richter scale was registered in the Kermadec Islands region of New Zealand, reports “Reuters”. According to the US Geological Survey, the earthquake was 152 km deep. The European-Mediterranean Seismological Center indicates that the earthquake had a magnitude of 6.6 on the Richter scale, and its epicenter was at a depth of 183 km. No tsunami warning has been issued in the area.
