Over the next 24 hours, with interruptions, rainfall will continue and in many places will be significant. In Northwestern Bulgaria it will rain mostly snow, snow cover will continue to accumulate. During the night, with a light wind with a southern component, the rest of the country will briefly warm up in the central and eastern regions of Northern Bulgaria and the high fields of Western Bulgaria will rain. and rain and snow, where in some areas there will be conditions for ice. In Southern Bulgaria the precipitation will be from rain. During the day the wind will be oriented from north-northeast everywhere, it will be weak and moderate and with it a more permanent cold will start. The minimum temperatures will be from about minus 1 ° in the northwestern regions to 5 ° -6 ° in the extreme south; maximum temperatures will be from 0 ° to 5 ° in Northern Bulgaria, in the South - between 5 ° and 10 °, in the extreme southwestern regions and slightly higher. 
It will remain cloudy and foggy in the mountains. In Stara Planina over 1400-1600 meters it will snow. By morning, the wind will be with a southern component everywhere, strong, temporary and stormy with it, the temperatures in Southern Bulgaria will rise briefly and there will be snow at higher altitudes. During the day the wind will start to move from north-northwest and will weaken, temperatures will start to drop. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1200 meters will be about 7 °, at 2000 meters - about 1 °. It will be cloudy and rainy along the Black Sea coast. Mostly moderate east-northeast wind will blow. Maximum air temperatures will be 8 ° -11 °. The temperature of the sea water is 9 ° -10 °. The sea wave will be 3-4 points. 
For 11.01.2021 NIMH-MES announces a second degree warning (orange code) for significant rainfall with total amounts - between 35 and 55 l / sq.m for 5 districts in the country - Burgas, Yambol, Haskovo, Kardzhali and Smolyan and first degree (yellow code) for significant rainfall with total amounts - between 25 and 35 l / sq.m for the other 23 districts, and for the northern part of the country at night the rain will be mixed with snow. In the districts of Pleven, Montana, Vratsa and Vidin a new snow cover will form - about 10 cm, and along the Danube the snow will be mixed with rain.

Hydrological forecast Based on the meteorological forecast, the processed hydrological information and the modeled water quantities from NIMH: Danube Basin: Today (10.01) and in the next 3 days the levels of the observed rivers in the basin will increase as a result of precipitation. Significant increases in river levels are expected in the period 10-11.01.2021 in the catchments of the rivers Iskar, Osam, Vit and Yantra. On 12 and 13.01 the river levels in the basin will drain.

As a result of heavy rains there is a danger of torrential floods in the evening of 10.01.2021 and at night against 11.01.2021 in the catchments of:

Iskar River (in the upper and middle course along the main river and in the catchments of Musalenska Bistritsa River, Lakatitsa River, Cherni Iskar River, Malyovitsa River, Urdina River, Levi Iskar River, Lopushnitsa River, Pryaka River , Beli Iskar River, Perlovska River, Vitoshka Bistritsa River, Slatinska River, Suhodolska River);
Yantra River (in the catchments of Lefedja River, Karadere River, Dzhulyunitsa River, Veselina River, Zlatarishka River, Belitsa River, Dryanovska River);
Rusenski Lom River (in the upper reaches of the Cherni Lom River); Suha Reka River (along the main river and in the catchment area of ​​the Karaman River). The model for the catchment area of ​​the Ogosta River predicts: The forecasted water quantities on 11, 12 and 13.01.2021 will be around the average annual values. Today (10.01) and in the next three days the river levels in the catchment will remain without significant changes. Water quantities will be below the attention thresholds. 
The model for the catchment area of ​​the Iskar River predicts: The forecasted water quantities on 11, 12 and 13.01.2021 will be above the average annual values. As a result of precipitation, today (10.01) and in the next 2-3 days the river levels in the whole catchment will increase significantly. Water quantities will be below the attention thresholds. The model for the catchment area of ​​the Yantra River: The forecasted water quantities on 11, 12 and 13.01.2021 will be above the average annual values. Today (10.01) and tomorrow, as a result of precipitation, river levels will increase throughout the catchment area. On 12 and 13 January 2021, the rivers in the catchment will flow. Water quantities will be below the attention thresholds.
The model for the catchment area of ​​the Rusenski Lom River: The forecasted water quantity in the catchment area of ​​the Cherni Lom River on 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15.01.2021 will be below the average annual value. Today (10.01) and in the next 4-5 days, as a result of precipitation, the river levels in the catchment will increase. The water quantity will be below the attention threshold.
